KITCHEN TEAM VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Thank you for applying to be a volunteer at this year's Men’s Retreat at RockRidge Canyon, Princeton BC. We are in need of Kitchen Team Volunteers for the weekend of Sept. 20–22, 2024.

Although Kitchen Team members will not participate in the retreat, they will be able to enjoy the beautiful property of Rockridge Canyon and will be blessed through working in a positive environment with likeminded new friends. We invite you to recruit a friend or family member to serve alongside you. Lodging and meals are included.

Ideal volunteers will be: - 19 years of age or older; - Desire to serve with graciousness and excellence in hospitality; - Physically able to perform kitchen tasks including: - table setting, - serving, - bussing food trays, - washing pots, pans and dishes, - food preparation, - and kitchen and dining hall housekeeping. A typical day consists of reporting an hour before each meal and remaining until cleanup is completed, so please expect to serve for approximately 3 hours per meal. Volunteers are expected to be on-site from 9:00 pm on Friday evening until 12:00 pm noon on Sunday. There will be breaks during the day and free time in the evenings, as determined by RockRidge staff. The Men's Retreat sessions and activities are not open to volunteers. However, volunteers are invited to attend the final Mass on Sunday before departure.
